Spanish Lessons and Tutoring
What to Expect:
No matter which type of student you are, our first day together is an intake and evaluation day. We’ll sit down together and go over Spanish concepts, grammar, and vocabulary so I can evaluate your level, interests, and goals. Read on for more information about different types of tutoring paths:
▷ CURRENT or Upcoming In-school Spanish Students:
Often, students use tutoring to review and prep for a class they’re about to start in an upcoming semester or school year. So if your class hasn’t started yet, this is a perfect time to review! I am very familiar with which topics are covered in classes like Spanish 1-4, and I can help you prep even if your class hasn’t started yet!
If you are currently in Spanish class, we’ll discuss your class syllabus and the topics that you’re having trouble with or need to work on. During our sessions, we’ll work on your homework or prep together for tests/quizes/assessmentes/exams. Please be sure to bring your laptop, notes, study guides, or any other materials that you’re using in class.
▷ NEW/Beginner Spanish Students:
Often, new students have a foundation in Spanish but are stuck or have an upcoming trip or business meeting, and they’d like to advance or rejuvenate their Spanish skills. Other times, new students are starting from scratch or have used apps like Duolingo or Babbel and would like to really start practicing and furthering their Spanish skills.
Before we begin, I’ll email you an intake form to complete before we meet so that I can get an idea of where you’re at and what your goals are. Once we determine where you are and where you want to be, I design custom lessons that meet your level and work with you each week to help you advance. I have many beginner materials, activities, and take-home exercises that we will use throughout your lessons!
▷ INTERMEDIATE Spanish Students:
Maybe you’re picking back up from where you left off in college, returning after a Spanish-learning hiatus, or just want to start picking up steam and building upon your beginner skills, I’m happy to take your Spanish to the next level!

Once we determine where you are and where you want to be, I design custom lessons that meet your intermediate level and work with you each week to help build upon your foundation and move further towards advanced or fluent skills. I have many intermediate materials, activities, and take-home exercises that we will use throughout your lessons!
